CHAT ROOM RULES:


1.) Do not spam. The Chat Room is for Survivors of Sexual Abuse only. This place is for listening, learning, coping and healing together and is of course never intended for harmful purposes.

2.) Please be patient and kind, don't try to tell your Story over someone else.

3.) Do not threaten suicide in the chat room. If you need help we do suggest calling RAINN's Hotline for Survivors of Sexual Abuse. It is absolutely free and confidential 24 hours a day. The number is 1.800.656.HOPE. If you knows someone who needs help please advise them to seek RAINN's professional help.

4.) Please do not share your personal information, such as street address, tel number, ip provider, social security number, etc. This is for your safety.

5.) If something triggers you while you are chatting with other survivors, please take care of yourself first. If you need to leave the chat room, do so. Your feelings and well being comes first.

6.) Should you have a disagreement or engage in a fight with another survivor, please try to resolve the problem in a civil manner.

Please if you plan on leaving your computer for a considerable amount of time, leave chat as well. If you receive a phone call or someone stops over to visit, in order to keep chat safe and make sure others that pop in while you are away do not feel lonely or triggered by your apparent absence in chat, sign out.

Also, no 'lurking' in chat, if you are going to be in there, please try to participate with the group. If something has deeply upset you and that is why you are not speaking, feel free to post, contact an Admin/Moderator/Chat Mod, call RAINN (1-800-656-HOPE) or contact your local RCC.

Lastly, if a Chat Mod/Admin/Moderator messages you within chat and you do not feel like answering them or if the Mod asks you to leave, you are to leave chat immediately.
